New paintings of the Susquehanna River and the farmlands of York and Lancaster County. And, just maybe if I really really paint fast, a few paintings from my trip to Tanzania!

ART IN THE EMBASSIES PROGRAM

Three pieces of my work have been chosen by Ambassador Patricia Hawkins to grace her residence in Lome, republic of Togo in West Africa. The works will be in the main salon and are "Last Light of Day", "South York County" and "Picket". The residence will feature landscapes from this part of Pennsylvania and will have a catalog published for distribution at the residence. I am especially excited and honored to be included in this prestigious program.

TANZANIA IN JULY!!!! I traveled  on  a Lutheran Mission trip to visit our sister church in Ipinde, Tanzania along with eleven other intrepid souls. It was truly a blessing to be able to go on this journey of faith. The Tanzanians we met were gracious, loving and forgiving of our many faux pas when it came to differences in custom. I am happy to announce that the piece "TUCQUAN CLUB VIEW" has been adopted by Bob Pullo for the SUSQUEHANNA RIVER ART COLLECTION currently being housed at the  Zimmerman Center for Heritage on the river at Long Level, PA.  This beautiful collection features a contemporary artistic views from along the Susquehanna. The Zimmerman Center is open daily.

 The ARTS ORIENTATION CENTER has opened at 114 N. Prince Street in Lancaster! It is now home to PENNSYLVANIA ARTS EXPERIENCE Artist Trail gallery and offices. Stop in to see the beautiful photographs of the artists of the Trail by William Simone along with works by each artist.  I now have representation in Lancaster!

Hurrah for SPRING!!  The first Friday Friends painting session met  the second eek of March with George Sorrels, William Kocher and JD Wissler attending along with myself. It is a thrill to share time, talk and talents with my fellow painters along with a few laughs. Even without leaves on the trees it was a beautiful day to paint along the Susquehanna near Shank's Mare in Long Level.
