Day of Remembrance, September 11, 2011. Art of the State 2012 - Purchase Award Winner
What an honor and what a fabulous show open until September 10th at the State Museum of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg. I was notified of the award, which means the painting will become part of the permanent collection in the museum, a few weeks ago and had to keep it a secret from everyone. Oh, that was tough especially with my parents but I looked forward to the surprise at the awards ceremony. There are 129 works of art by 117 artists from all across Pennsylvania.
